Base Recipe: Bath Oil Recipe

You Will Need:

10 drops main essential oil (eg. Lavender for relaxation)

5 drops complementary essential oil (eg. Frankincense for relaxation)

5 drops complementary essential oil (eg. Marjoram for calm)

1 drop complementary essential oil (eg. Cedarwood for calm)

125ml carrier oil of your choice, such as jojoba or sweet almond oil

Glass Storage Bottle

Method:

Combine all the ingredients in a dark glass or PET plastic bottle. Store in a cool, dark place (not your bathroom cabinet – it’s too warm and humid.)

Pour about a tablespoon into the bath after you’ve finished running the water.

Base Recipe: Bath Bomb Recipe

You Will Need:

  • 1 cup aluminium free baking soda
  • 1/2 cup citric acid
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • Food coloring (all natural, if desired)
  • Essential oil of your choice (10 – 20 drops)
  • Water
  • Mixing bowls
  • Measuring spoons
  • Spoon for stirring
  • Bath bomb moulds (from a kitchen supply store or craft store)Mix the baking soda and cornstarch in a large mixing bowl. Keep the citric acid set aside to mix in later. Use a mixing spoon to break up any clumps.If making multiple colors/scents from this single batch, separate the dry ingredients into equal parts in different bowls. (You’ll need to separate the citric acid as well.) A few drops at a time, mix any color and essential oils into the dry mixture using your hands.Add water 1/2 a teaspoon at a time, mixing the water in after each half teaspoon. Add water until the mixture becomes the texture of ‘damp sand’ and will hold in a tight clump. Mix in the citric acid and thoroughly combine.Firmly pack the two sides of your bath bomb mold with mixture. Pack it tightly and slightly overfill. Press the two sides of the mold together as tightly as you can. Gently pull off one side of the mold, flip the ball over into your hand, and pull off the other side of the mold.You’ll need to handle the bath bomb very gently as the mixture is still slightly damp and not yet hardened.Use the back of a spoon to smooth the seam of the ball where the molds met. Allow to dry.

Base Recipe: Bath Salt Recipe

You Will Need:

  • Coarse sea salt
  • Epsom salts
  • Baking soda
  • Essential oils (Your Choice)
    1. In a large bowl mix and combine: 6 parts coarse sea salt or pink Himalayan salt; 3 parts epsom salts and 1 part aluminium free baking soda.

    2. Add a few drops of essential oil (10 – 15) and combine.

    3. Add a few drops of natural coloring or dried petals if you prefer for aesthetic value and store in an airtight glass jar.

Base Recipe: Massage Oil Recipe

You Will Need:

  1. 3o mls of a preferred carrier oil such as sweet almond oil, apricot kernel, sesame or jojoba oil.
  2. 10-12 drops of your chosen essential oils.
  3. Dark glass container.Combine all ingredients in your bottle and shake until well combined. Enjoy!
