What makes the turmeric lattes special at Wise Cicada?
Our secret? Fresh, spray free turmeric root is cold pressed into a juice shot, made to order.
The freshly pressed juice used at Wise Cicada creates a stronger, more pungent drink than a powdered turmeric blend and because we press the juice to serve immediately, it has little chance to oxidise and every chance to benefit your health greatly.
Then your choice of steamed organic plant-based ‘mylk’ is added. The richer the better, as the fatty acids in the ‘mylk’ support the bio-availability of your turmeric. Curcumin is fat soluble. We prefer using coconut and hemp ‘mylks’ as they both have a high omega content.
A sprinkle of cinnamon and black pepper on top aids assimilation of curcumin and curcuminoids.

30 mls freshly cold-pressed turmeric root juice (Spray Free Fresh Turmeric Root from Fiji is always available at Wise Cicada)
250 – 350 mls hot plant ‘mylk’ (steamed on an espresso machine or simmered in a pot) eg. Oat, Soy, Almond, Coconut, Rice, Hemp, Hazelnut, Cashew
Topping: Sprinkle with Ceylon cinnamon and freshly ground black pepper
